ABOUT

Under the Scale Travels program we present 'Ahkromology' an audiovisual installation by the Scottish artist Florence To.

During her artistic residency at INL - Iberian International Nanotechnology Laboratory in February this year, the Scottish artist Florence To worked with researchers from the Nanophotonics group, participating in several nanomaterials observation processes involving the interaction between light and matter.

During these processes, Florence To found our that the methodologies used in nano research were not only of a scientific nature, but also in perspective, an artistic wealth to be unveiled.

Akhromology reinterprets the sensorial process of the act of investigation. Appealing to the senses of vision and hearing, the installation starts from observing techniques to demonstrate the space where research takes place and where theory, process, intuition and emotional memory merge with the sonorous environments of the laboratory.
